Arya Gurukul, Nandivali celebrates Khel Mela.

Kalyan:-Arra Gurukul, Nandivali’s Khel Mela revolved around the theme “Indian Culture” that showcased Indian Art, Culture, Inventions and Innovations and abiding by the Government of India’s initiative of Khelo India Khelo.

The theme of Indian Culture was brought out beautifully throughout the event, through outstanding dance performances, linguistic demonstrations and showcasing our indigenous innovations and inventions. 

Parental involvement is given great importance at Arya Gurukul and the same was observed when parents participated in the games and races too. 

The Chief Guest of Khel Mela, Smt. Archana Joshi applauded the school for instilling the love for sports in the young and growing students. 

Shri Deepak Verma, Sports Director at Arya Gurukul implied that Arya Gurukul is making several arrangements so that students can now learn new sports during the school hours itself and this new initiative will soon be rolled out. He urged parents to encourage each child to take up atleast one sport as it leads to a holistic development of a child. 

Smt. Radhamani Iyer, Principal shared that India is today a country of maximum young population and playing sports keeps the mind sharp, the body fit and promotes the overall development of a person.  

Shri Bharat Malik, Chairman of Arya Gurukul noted that Sports is an investment in the health of a child. He also appreciated the school’s meticulous arrangements for Khel Mela. All those who were present encouraged parents to promote the love for sports in their children. 

Young achiever Mast. Aryan Joshi, Master in Chess and Master Omkar Joshi, Professional Mountaineer, National level Judo player and state level Badminton and Football player, founder and leader of Shiv Sahyadri Trekkers were honoured at Khel Mela. During a question and answer session with them they shared their views on how to keep oneself motivated and focused and also shared valuable inputs with other sports aspirants.
